Hey,
I’m River Kanah!
A 21 year old photographer based in Tampa, FL. I want to create art based on the human experience, whether that’s the end of high school/college, a kiss between lovers, a baby’s first steps, two people saying “I do”, and all the precious moments in between. I’m inspired by old films, music, Jesus, love stories, and nature. I strive to create art that is anything but lifeless!
”just a small town girl”
a bit about me:
I’m a deeply passionate person! I love all things pertaining to art. Poetry, photography, painting, music, dancing, you name it. I strive to live life to its fullest potential. I grew up in Plant city Florida, tucked behind some old oak trees. Screaming old country classics with my dad, helping my mom make potluck meals, and running around barefoot with my 7 siblings. Since then I’ve lived a lot of lives, after high school I moved to small town Appalachia serving the Lord as a camp counselor, running ropes courses and being a river guide. Then I moved to suburban GA, fulfilling my main character moment as a waitress. Nowadays you’ll find me back home working as a teacher, line dancing on some hardwood floors, fishing, cooking, painting, working at the stables or travelling all over America.
I absolutely adore that my job is to capture the most special moments. A first kiss as husband and wife, a newborn entering this world, a business owners passion, a seniors giddiness to spread their wings. I love every second of it. Hearing “I’m not very photogenic” and leaving a shoot with a smiling client who feels like a million bucks. That’s what this is all about! I’m eager to know what season of life each person is in, and what they can’t wait for next! I love taking the time to get to know you, so that I can capture your most authentic self.
